He further added, "The presentation will be displayed on the day of mock drill when they will have to present the products and officials from MMRDA will conduct a test on the same. This test will help us in evaluating them to execute ‘Smart BKC’." The MMRDA has claimed the work on the project will start by October 2016, by which it claims it would clear all hurdles on executing the project. "The plan is to change the look of BKC, a commercial hub, where all the multinational companies have their offices. It is also home to several consulates of various countries," said another MMRDA official. The total cost of the ‘Smart BKC’ project is expected to be around Rs 70 crore..
